Business and Economy Module 
Download the latest edition of the Economics Review - August 2008. The special interest papers include; Sub-regional drivers of the SW Economy, SW labour market conditions in the slowdown and SW Employment Monitor. Download the latest South West Regional Economic Indicators - June 2008. A report entitled 'Measuring Regional Progress - Regional Index of Sustainable Economic Well-Being' has been published by the New Economics Foundation. SW Labour Market - Recession - this report looks at the effects of recession on the SW Labour Market. The South West Regional Accounts 2008 are now available. Download the UK Economic Indicators for July 2008.  
 
Environment Module 
A workshop on the REAP model was held in August, the presentation from the workshop provide an overview of indicators of sustainable consumption, an introduction to REAP and updated features and ideas of how these indicators and tools can be used in relation to your work. The presentations are available from South West REAP workshop. The Regen SW 2008 survey of renewable energy has now been added; the report and a summary of the report can be downloaded from Regen SW 2008 renewable energy survey. Click the link to download the Bird Crime 2007 report. The Environment Module has pulled together a sample of Local State of Environment reports for local authorities in the South West. For further information and to download the reports click Local environmental data. The State of the countryside 2008 has been published by the Commission for Rural Communities. The South West launched its first Climate Change Action Plan on the 3rd September 2008, for further information visit the South West Climate Change Action Plan section of the Environment Module website. 
 
Planning Module 
This year the online questionnaire for regional monitoring has been replaced with direct web entry of data cells into a data-warehouse. The 2007 Annual Monitoring Report has now been published and can be viewed here: AMR 2007 
 
Skills and Learning Intelligence Module 
The latest SLIM-Comment for September 2008 is available to view from SLIM Comment: Skilled Migrant Workers Shortage List. The South West Skills Newsletter Volume 1 Number 7, is an online publication that brings together the SLIM-lines and the South West Regional Skills Partnership publications incorporating information on the region's ESF programmes. The impact of migration from the new European Union Member States on native workers This paper examines the impact of migration from the new EU Member States on the labour market outcomes of natives in the UK.  
 
Public Health 
Download an overview of the latest developments in public health in the South West and nationally from Public Health South West E-bulletin (September 2008 edition). The summer edition of the SWPHO quarterly newsletter is available to download from SWPHOcus Summer 2008. The Food and Health update for September 2008 is an update on local, regional and national developments looking to improve food and health outcomes. View a snapshot of health for each local council in the region from the APHO Health Profiles pages. ‘Cancer e-Atlas’, launched by the newly established National Cancer Intelligence Network (NCIN) to improve public access to basic cancer statistics at Local Authority and Cancer Network level across England.
